Autumn Years
Below is a series of photographs from my project ‘Autumn Years’. ‘Autumn Years’ is a documentary project focusing on my Grandparents.
Hathaway Tearooms
These photographs were taken at Hathaway Tearooms, the oldest tearooms in Stratford-Upon-Avon.
The client asked me to take photographs of some of the food available and also some interior shots. These were taken for use across their social media platforms.
Multiple Realities
‘Multiple Realities’ was a project put together by Photographer Liz Hingley in collaboration with the ‘Elizabeth Bryan Multiple Births Centre’ (EBMBC) and Birmingham City University. The aim of the project was to explore the experiences and realities of living as a family with twins and triplets.
Around 15 photographers and photography students took part in the project; we were paired up with a family and then the final images were showcased as part of an exhibition in the Library of Birmingham.
Below shows James and Chris Brewerton (identical twins) photographed at Birmingham City Football Club and Cannock Chase.
The exhibition launched at the Library of Birmingham on 2nd September 2019 and ran through to the end of the month. James and Chris’ parents were keen for them to have their own identities. They were in different classes in primary school and to help their friends and family tell them apart they were dressed in different colours; James in blue and Chris in red. James and Chris don’t regard
themselves as ‘twins’ but as brothers and friends. The family are lifelong supporters of Birmingham City Football Club. St. Andrews Stadium was therefore an obvious choice of venue for some of the photographs to be taken.
The World Came Together… As The People Stayed Apart
The World Came Together… As The People Stayed Apart is a mini project I shot during the first lockdown in April 2020.
This body of work documents the deserted streets of Warwick and Leamington. Though once bustling, these photographs show how they changed since the COVID-19 pandemic began. I wanted to show the stillness of the empty streets juxtaposed with the bright colours of the decorated shop fronts to show that even without people, there is life in the streets.
